He was born in Konya. He completed his bachelor's degree at the Istanbul Technical University (ITU) Turkish Music State Conservatory. He completed his master's degree education at the Department of Classical Turkish Music of the Institute of Social Sciences, ITU. He worked as oud artist in the Ministry of Tourism, Konya Turkish Sufi Music Ensemble between 1998-2007. In 2002 he participated in “The silk road” festival organized by the Smithsonion Institute and YO-YO MA, with his Shahrud instrument, as part of the Bezmara Ensemble. With this group in 1998 he realized the album Splendours of Topkapı, published by Radio de France -Occora Company. Yitik Sesin Peşinde (In Pursuit of the Lost Voice) and "Mecmua’dan Saz ve Söz" (Instruments and Words from the Review) are his other albums. As an Oud artist, he took part as Oud and Shahrud player in concerts in countries such as the USA, Russia, Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark, France, Egypt and Pakistan. He is currently continuing his works as oud artist in the Istanbul State Turkish Music Research and Application Ensemble. He is working as an oud group chairman in the Biksad Art Workshop since 2015.
