He was born in Istanbul in 1965. He graduated from the Gaziosmanpaşa Imam Hatip (religious vocational) high school in 1984 and started taking sulus - nasih writing lessons from Huseyin Kutlu. He enrolled at the Faculty of Theology in the Marmara University in 1985. His interest in music during his high school years continued in the faculty too. He took religious music education from Assist. Prof. Nuri Ozcan. He graduated from the Faculty of Theology at the Marmara University in 1989. He started taking ney lessons from M.Sadreddin Özçimi and Ahmed Şahin in 1990. During 1990-1992 he took music lessons at the Kadıköy Municipality Conservatory, from Prof. Dr. Ruhi Ayangil. He took part in musical societies as nâyî vocal artist.
He received a certificate in sulus - nasih writing from Hüseyin Kutlu in 1993. We worked as research assistant at the Faculty of Fina Arts in the Atatürk University during 1994-1998. His writings are included in many mosques, especially at the Adana Sabancı Central Mosque and the Japan Tokyo Mosque and in national-foreign collections. He gave calligraphy lectures in the Topkapı Palace Decoration Course, Turkish Literature Foundation and Historical-Cultural Studies Association. He works as a calligraphy instructor in the Biksad Art Workshop since 2000.
